Booking terms

These are the terms that apply to every stay at Walkden House, Blackpool. By placing a booking with us — directly, by phone, or through a third-party site — you accept them.

Reservations & deposits

  • A booking is confirmed once you receive written confirmation from us.
  • A 50% deposit is taken at the time of booking to secure the room.
  • The remaining balance is due 14 days before arrival. For bookings made within 14 days of arrival, the full balance is due 7 days before arrival, or immediately if the booking is made within 7 days.
  • Payment is taken from the card provided at the time of booking.

Cancellation charges

  • More than 14 days before arrival: deposit is non-refundable; no further charge.
  • 8–14 days before arrival: 50% of the total booking value is charged.
  • 7 days or fewer before arrival: 100% of the total booking value is charged.
  • No-shows and early departures: charged at 100% of the remaining stay.

We strongly recommend guests take out travel insurance to cover cancellations for illness, travel disruption or other unforeseen circumstances.

Amendments

We'll do our best to accommodate date changes subject to availability. Requests made more than 14 days before arrival are free of charge; later changes are treated as a cancellation and re-booking under the terms above.

Check-in & check-out

  • Check-in: 3:00pm – 8:00pm. Later arrivals by prior arrangement only.
  • Check-out: by 10:30am.
  • Photo ID may be requested on arrival.

House policies

  • Parking: no on-site parking. Public car parks are a short walk away (approx. £9.50/day).
  • Wi-Fi: free throughout the property.
  • Pets: not allowed. Registered assistance dogs welcome by prior arrangement.
  • Smoking & vaping: strictly no smoking or vaping anywhere inside the building. A £100 cleaning charge applies to any breach.
  • Children: welcome from age 3+. Children are charged at the adult rate. Cots and children's beds are not provided.
  • Groups: maximum group size 4. We do not accept stag or hen parties.
  • Damages: the lead guest is responsible for any damage to the room or its contents during the stay.

Liability

Walkden House accepts no liability for loss or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises, except where caused by our negligence. Please keep valuables secure.
