Accessibility

Walkden House is a traditional Victorian guest house at 17 Hornby Road, Blackpool. We want every guest to know exactly what to expect before they book, so here is an honest summary of access at the property.

Getting in

There are a few steps up to the front door from the pavement, and there is no ramp or lift in the building. Access to all bedrooms is by staircase only.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Rooms are spread over the upper floors and all are reached by stairs. Every room is en-suite, with a shower rather than a bath in most rooms. We do not currently have a wet room or a wheelchair-accessible bedroom. If stairs are difficult, please ask us for a room on the first floor when you book and we will do our best to help.

Breakfast room

Breakfast is served on the ground floor from 9:00am to 10:00am. We are happy to cater for allergies and dietary needs — just let us know in advance.

Parking and arrival

There is on-street parking on Hornby Road and pay-and-display car parks nearby. We can help with luggage on arrival if you let us know your approximate arrival time.

Assistance dogs

Registered assistance dogs are welcome throughout the guest house.
